Take a Walk - Passion Pit

Passion Pit - Take a Walk

Passion Pit - “Take A Walk”

[Dissecting The Track]

“Take A Walk” is the first single off Passion Pit’s much expected Sophomore album Gossamer, available July 24th.

Being one of the early fans of Passion Pit, I’ve experienced their evolution from Chunk of Change to Manners and all the remixes in between. Including their individual side projects (Aislyn // Shuttle). I’m not sure what to make of this track. It’s catchy, but the lyrics and hook left me questioning where the optimistic fun Passion Pit went.

What do you think of the new single? Do you think they’ve matured or slowly shifting into mainstream?

A Sol Mechanic - “[Almost(Touching)]”

[DOWNLOAD]

A Sol Mechanic’s latest offering comes in the form of a laid back bassy groove sampling Radiohead and A.I. Like all his tracks, progressive and experimental analogue production feature heavily and as the track seemingly begins to curtail there is an element of toying with the arrangement; double bass claps and reverberated synth bursts ensure this holds your attention ‘till the very end.

Solar Bears - “Cosmic Runner”

As a gracious fan of the eastern Irish duo Solar Bears, here is their latest track “Cosmic Runner” from their upcoming LP Supermigration. After their acknowledged release of “She Was Coloured In” in the year 2010, the fated duo has released two original pieces for this year, the other piece being “Alpha People” which features vocals from Keep Shelly In Anthens. Drift into the atmosphere with this impeccable blend of otherworld beats, bass and synthesizers. You can join in the rest of the solar experience of their music via soundcloud.
