Cloud Seeding - “Newer Testament (feat. Greg Hatem)”

Cloud Seeding is a music singles project by Brooklyn-based guitarist Kevin Serra. The project was conceived as a space for collaboration to showcase vocalists he admires. On this second Cloud Seeding single, “Newer Testament,” Serra worked with Baltimore’s Greg Hatem (Tulsa and currently Heart of Hearts.) The new single was recorded and mixed in Brooklyn and Baltimore and was mastered at Mobtown Studios. Greg is finishing up his debut album for his music project Heart of Hearts for a late summer/early fall release.

Fight Bite - Catiline

Fight Bite is a project by Geoffrey Lewis and Neon Indian’s Leanne Macomber. They put out their first album in 2008, and then went really quiet a couple of years ago, I kind of accepted that’d probably be that, but still consider those songs to be among the most beautiful and evocative I have ever heard. I had the best shock ever just now to discover the pair have released a second full length album with even more gauzey, reverby female-fronted brilliance than the first! This is arguably my favourite track off it, you can stream/buy the whole album here or on Spotify.

Yung Life are a Knoxville based lo-fi outfit who came out with their debut LP “Youth’s Hours” summer last year. “Isn’t This” is a great piece from their upcoming self-titled sophomore LP which will be released June 21st. Synths, guitars and catchy hooks, all accompanied by lots of reverb? Pretty superb for this time of year if you ask me.
